Rick Myers: Notes, 2005-2025

  • Boston, Massachusetts (map)

Rick Myers will present a talk tackling the forensics of his interdisciplinary projects over two decades. Through a chronology of selected works, Myers focusses on his processes of poetic investigation and coalescence, in which the body interfaces with systems, often as a spanner in their works, while in turn, systems disrupt the body, culminating in residual artworks, artist publications, and archive projects.

Myers is a Manchester-born artist and writer living in Western Massachusetts. He has had solo exhibitions at The National Poetry Library at Southbank Centre and the Book Library at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London; Printed Matter, New York; and White Columns, New York. Performances and screenings include: MoMA Library, New York; The Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens; The Hague – Museum Meermanno, organised by Museum Meermanno and the National Library of the Netherlands; and Whitechapel Gallery, London. His artist books, editions, and project archives are held at The Library of Congress, Harvard University, MIT, MoMA, Stanford University, Tate Britain, and Yale University, among others.
